Listening to Packard Goose right now, I realize I could not function without the music of Frank Zappa. Somehow it makes work and life easier. When I listen to Zappa, those little annoyances… Comment Spam… IE patches… Remote Debugger never working… Trying to understand the Quicktime spec… they don’t seem to matter quite so much. I just wish I could figure out the meter in Keep it Greasey. Maybe it’s because Zappa was so good at what he did, that he made it look effortless. Someday I hope I’m that good at something. Mooo-aaahhhh….
One of my favorite Sci-Fi movies when I was a kid was The Last Starfighter. In preparing my list for Santa, I stumbled upon this gunstar made out of legos. Ooh. That beats Star Wars legos by a mile. What other sci-fi movies should they make into legos? This and Battle Beyond the Stars get my vote.
I used to be very into Legos, but back then they didn’t have the genius of marketing cross-pollenation like they do now. I would have killed for Star Wars Legos. My major beef with legos these days is that the little plastic pieces are getting too specialized, and less inter-connectable. My question, when are they going to release a lego Robert Preston?
