Amazon S3 Downtime Visualized

Filed under: General — geoff @ 1:50 am

Amazon Web Services made big news yesterday with their six or so hours of mid-day downtime. I didn’t even notice until I logged in to check my MochiBot stats. NPR Launches Open API, offers Widgets

Filed under: Flash, General — geoff @ 11:42 am

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of working with Daniel Jacobson of NPR.org in developing a Flash widget that utilizes their newly-released API. Euclidean Space Dot Com, Great 3d Math Resource

Filed under: General — geoff @ 11:33 am

I’ve been working away at building my own 3d engine, and it seems that every time I run into a math problem, euclideanspace.com always comes to the rescue. It has tons of information on dealing with those complicated 3d math problems. Not only does it cover the math, it explains the theory in a concise manner as well. I found a good deal of information on dealing with 3d rotations and quaternions, which had me stumped for quite a while.
