The Hallmarks of Web 2.0 Style

Filed under: Commentary, General — geoff @ 4:23 pm

Webdesignfromscratch has an interesting post that dissects the graphical style of current – how you say – “Web 2.0″ style in web design. In short, big text, white space, gradients, and cute icons. So – attention all you web designers because this is really important – we should all make our web sites look like this.

I personally always use rounded corners so my users do not hurt themselves using my sites. Seriously, though, it’s a good read, and demonstrates some of the very important lessons that designers have learned as the web has matured. Namely, that web design is becoming more and more content-centric. This is good for usability and communication.
